This has been a tough week for anyone paying attention to the events in the world. We had threats of genocide coupled with a continuous stream of bombings in Lebanon, migrants dying as they bravely seek a better life, and corruption at the highest levels in society. At times, it has been hard to focus on just going about our daily tasks.

Mary Shelley tells us that the world is a strange mixture of good and evil. Our job here on Earth is to seek what good we can find in this world and use that to fuel our hopes and our desire to go on.
