With the astronauts still days away from reaching the moon, we are already getting fantastic pictures of our home planet. As with every picture of the Earth from space, we see what a fragile, interconnected planet we are living on. Yet, in our short-sighted and selfish actions we are killing each other, polluting the planet, and ignoring the suffering of our fellow earthlings as we allow a small group of people to hoard the wealth of the planet.

In his Starry Messenger, Neil deGrasse Tyson included a quote that expresses exactly how this picture makes me feel. I want to grab every politician and businessperson by the scruff of the neck and say, "Look at that, you son a bitch!!"
