For at least the last ten years we have tolerated the hatred towards immigrants that spewed from the vile mouth of our current president. This hatred is unacceptable when directed at any human being, but it is particularly awful when it falls on the children of our communities.

It was great news to see Liam Conejo and his father released, but the number of children being sent to these detention centers (jails) is rising rapidly. Celeste Ng tells us that we cannot allow ourselves to think that it doesn't matter "as long as it was happening to somebody else's child". Look deep inside your soul and realize the importance of speaking out on behalf of all the children in our community: "ICE Out Now".
