It is great to see more and more union-affliated candidates running for office all around the country, but in my mind this is only a stopgap measure. I have always been extremely pro-union, but only in the context of a world run by out of control capitalists. I have always been in favor of big government, but only as a counterweight to the evils of big multinational corporations.

My deepest feelings align with what Richard Wright wrote many years ago. "Had I had anything to say about the goals of those trade unions, I'd have insisted that their fight be to escape completely the domination of the capitalists. Not that the workers become richer, but that they become more human, freer"
