Sophocles tried to tell us over 2000 years ago and Lula told us again yesterday, that when a people have been devastated like the Palestinians in Gaza, the ruin will crest on and on from one generation to the next. The saddest part is that it is not the gods that have rocked the house to the foundation, but other men. I just wish humans could learn from history, literature, and art to treat other humans as the miracles that they are.

Also, those of us who get to live in relative peace and security should realize how truly lucky we are to have never tasted this level of devastation. As always, I feel we need to use our voice, vote, and money to send support to those who have not been as fortunate.
