I am firmly on team Einstein when it comes to the purpose of education. Going to college is not about learning the skills that will make you useful to the ambitions of Mark Fuckerberg or Elmo Musk, but instead it is about helping you develop "a sense of responsibility for" our fellow humans. Regardless of the educational track which you committed to in order to help promote your "own innate abilities", a large portion of your education should involve studying history, literature, and modes of self expression.

By the time you get your degree, you should have come to despise "the glorification of power and success" that is heralded "in our present society". This humanization process that should start in your earliest forms of education and accelerate as you move through college. By the time you are ready to graduate, you should have honed your innate abilities to the point where you can use them for the benefit of your fellow human beings. You should have been transformed into a life-long learner who has a sense of their place in the long development of human kind.
