Kathryn Stockett once wrote that a "summer month could stretch on for years". When living under the Chaos of Trump, this applies to every month. It has only been 10 days since he threatened genocide against the people of Iran and in that time the reality of the war has flip-flopped dozens of times a day. Each hour has felt like it contained more insane news than we used to experience in a full year.
Now we are being told that the war is virtually over by Trump and we are being told that the Strait of Hormuz is open by the Iranians. But then Trump tells us that the blockade of the Strait is still active and insurance companies have not given the green light to ship to pass through the strait.
Trump tells us that Israel strikes on Lebanon are prohibited, but Israel has been bombing Gaza on a near daily basis during the 6 month cease fire. Over 700 Palestinians have been murdered during the 'cease fire'.
The disconnect between all the different stated realities and the actual behavior of the parties involved makes your head spin and time to lose all meaning.
