When I saw that the Secretary of the Navy was let go yesterday, I was shocked. I thought, how do you get rid of an experienced military leader in the middle of a war that is heavily dependent on the Navy? Then I looked up his background and found that before he was appointed by Trump for this position he had no experience with the Navy, no military background, no experience with national security, and had never worked in the defense industry. I was shocked to see such an unqualified person in this position.

What qualifications helped them get this job? Well, they were a billionaire businessperson who donated and fundraised to get Trump elected.

I can look passed appointments like this when the job is ambassador to Iceland, but definitely not when they are given a top position in the military.
