The great Carl Sagan reminds us that the only way we can separate deep insights from deep nonsense is through the process of skeptical scrutiny. The biggest problem with Donald Trump is that his ego is such that he cannot allow any challenges to his ideas or actions, and hence the entire governing body of the NSF must go. These were all individuals who have dedicated their lives to the truth, and now our country can no longer draw on their expertise and character.

Trump's foolish actions over the last 15 months are going to set us back as a country for generations. I cannot tell you how much I miss Carl Sagan, he is a voice we need now more than ever.
