Yesterday the Supreme Court pushed the country back toward the Jim Crow era. They are setting the stage for a majority white state to gerrymander their congressional districts to make sure minority voters get no voice in the federal and state governments. Once again we could see monies and resources directed away from areas with minority majorities. The environment, education, and safety of those areas will deteriorate.

W.E.B. DuBois saw the worst of this type of society and rightly tells us calling this a democracy is a "dangerous perversion of the real democratic ideal".
