The USS Abraham Lincoln seems like the perfect metaphor for this war. Seemingly adrift at sea for what seems like ages with no idea how long things are going to last.

Octavia Butler describes how we got into this mess, "All too often [wars] were actually fought because inadequate leaders did not know what else to do". I truly think that Trump believed he "could depend on fear, suspicion, hatred, need, and greed to arouse patriotic support for [this] war", but I think almost everyone has had enough. We all need to keep letting those in Washington know that we want an end to these types of wars and we want it now.
