The traditional democratic establishment wants us to be scared of politicians who call themselves progressives or democratic socialists. In fact, it often seems that many in the democratic party are more afraid of people like Melat Asfawosen Kiros (M.A.K.), than they are of the authoritarians running roughshod over the world.

I, for one, don't care what label a politician has. I am 100% in alignment with Kurt Vonnegut when he says he is looking for politicians who are more interested in giving human beings what they need instead of giving corporations and AI data centers what they need.
