We went from the immediate dangers of extreme heat to the insidious longterm dangers (Important Information Here) of high concentrations of microscopic particles in the air almost overnight. Having these effects of climate chaos hit in your own back yard is a better illustration of where we are heading than all the scientific reports that have been produced over the years.

I would like to hope that society will wake up to these dangers and reverse course on our energy needs and production. But what type of hope is this? It is the hope of a shipwrecked mariner, who is exhausted from swimming, who hears close behind them the splashing waters caused by the shark that pursues them through the Atlantic.
