The only thing worse than having to watch Fonzi jump the shark on water skis was having to watch it a second time at the end of July as networks went with summer re-runs. It seems like the news media is taking a play from the days before cable and repeating all the top headlines rather than come up with anything new and interesting.

They brought back Trump's threats of random tariffs and a massive attack on Iran, explosive diarrhea and measles outbreaks, $100 barrels of oil, and people who never watch women's sports complaining about how Caitlin Clark is being treated.

I am calling on all newspaper editors to go back into the writer's room and come up with some new material and make it more like Ted Lasso and less like Veep. Nassim Nicholas Taleb tells us that "Writing is the art of repeating oneself without anyone noticing" but we are all noticing that we are getting the same crappy headlines over and over and over again!
