The next few months are going to be seeing a large spike in the number of visitors to Philadelphia for the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the games of the Soccer World Cup, and the MLB All-Star Game. In 1873, Mark Twain's The Gilded Age listed four things in Philadelphia that all Americans should see at least once in their lifetimes.

I love the city of my birth, and I could easily add a few dozen other things visitors should see when they are in the Philadelphia area. From Lancaster to the Shore, from the Poconos to Delaware Bay, there is not a better place to spend a lifetime. "Go Birds!!" - Ben Franklin
