George Orwell tells us that all that most working people demand is "enough to eat, freedom from the haunting terror of unemployment, the knowledge that your children will get a fair chance in life", a livable home, "and short enough working hours to leave you with a little energy when the day is done".

The problem is that there is no satisfaction for the wealthy. No matter how much money and resources they possess, it is never enough. AOC reminds us that the only way to accumulate extreme wealth is doing all you can to deny those who are doing the actual work of those basic necessities.
