I have loved technology for all of my life. I couldn't wait for advances to take place that would make it easier for me to create things and share them with the world, but recently I have come to dread each coming announcement as the machines move from being tools to becoming a trap to make us dependent on companies controlled by billionaires. This announcement by google has me vibing with Isabel Allende and her refusal to take part in the "advances" that are happening around her.

I am going to my library tomorrow and see if I can help them take the card catalog out of storage!!
